Millefiori beads have slices of Millefiori glass canes in each bead. (Millefiori means "thousand flowers" in Italian.) Lace beads are a variety of Millefiori beads or Mosaic beads. While Millefiori beads are lamp worked in primary colors, the Lace Mosaic Bead (Perle Mosaico in Italian) is made from opalescent glass rods, making the colors more delicate and ideally suited for romantic, dreamy designs.
